Vocational teacher training

Vocational teacher training is intended for teachers of universities of applied sciences and vocational institutions and those aspiring to become teachers in them. It provides the students with general paedagogical qualifications. In order to enter a vocational teacher training programme, a student must have received training and possess work experience that is a requirement for a teaching post in a university of applied sciences or a vocational institution.

The training programmes include basic paedagogical studies, professional paedagogical studies, teacher training and other courses. The studies are worth 60 credits.

• JAMK University of Applied Sciences
• Oulu University of Applied Sciences
• TAMK University of Applied Sciences
• Swedish-language vocational teacher training is provided by the Åbo Akademi University.
